Kenya and Israel have reaffirmed their longstanding cooperation in defence and security, anchored on counter-terrorism, military training, intelligence sharing and cyber-security — areas of shared strategic interest between the two governments.
The Embassy of Kenya in Tel Aviv coordinates Kenya's engagement with Israeli counterparts on the security agenda, in alignment with the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs and Kenya's defence and interior arms of government. The two states have indicated their interest in formalising a Strategic Defence Dialogue framework to structure ongoing cooperation. Cooperation also extends to capability development, with Kenya's recent acquisition of an advanced air-defence capability reported in the public domain. The Embassy continues to support policy dialogue, training opportunities and exchanges between Kenyan and Israeli security institutions. The Embassy remains in close contact with Kenyan nationals in Israel, monitoring regional security developments and issuing advisories where necessary through official channels.
