Zambia Travel Expo (ZATEX) 2026 was held on 5th June, under the theme “Building Authentic and Sustainable Tourism Through Partnerships”, bringing together leading stakeholders from the tourism, investment, and business sectors. The event served as a premier platform to showcase Zambia’s tourism potential while fostering collaboration with regional and international partners. Representing the Mission at the official opening ceremony, Mr. Robert Kobia joined in engaging with a wide range of participants. The Mission had the privilege of meeting and exchanging views with the CEO of Zambia Airways, senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism including the Permanent Secretary, and representatives from the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA). These interactions underscored the importance of aligning aviation, policy, and investment strategies to strengthen Zambia’s tourism ecosystem. The Expo highlighted opportunities for partnerships, investment promotion, and regional cooperation in building a sustainable tourism industry. By participating actively, the Mission reinforced Kenya’s commitment to supporting Zambia’s tourism growth, while also identifying areas for joint marketing, improved connectivity, and cross-border collaboration that can benefit both nations.
