The Republic of Kenya's foreign policy is anchored on eight pillars that guide the country's diplomatic, economic, peace and security, environmental, diaspora and public engagement around the world.
The pillars articulate Kenya's role as a stabilising actor in the region, an active member of the African Union, a contributor to multilateral cooperation, and a partner of choice for trade and investment with countries across all continents. The Ministry continues to operationalise these pillars through the Foreign Service Academy, the country's network of diplomatic missions, and partnerships with sister ministries, departments and agencies of the National Government.
