Ms. Anna Merrifield, Ambassador-designate of the Embassy of Finland to Tanzania, paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner Amb. Catherine Karemu on
Monday 21st September, 2026.
Amb. Karemu congratulated Ms. Merrifield on her appointment and welcomed her to Tanzania. They exchanged perspectives on their respective assignments and the importance of maintaining close engagement and collegial relations within the diplomatic community in Dar es Salaam.
They reflected on the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Kenya and Finland, including the significance of the recent State Visits by their respective Heads of State. They committed to maintaining close contact, exchanging perspectives and supporting constructive cooperation between their Missions during their tenure in Tanzania.
