I am delighted to welcome you to the official website of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Rome, Italy with multiple accreditations to Albania, Cyprus, Greece and Malta. The Embassy also serves as Kenya's Permanent Representative Mission to the Rome Based United Nations Agencies, that is, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP).

The website provides important linkages and information about Kenya, its Government structure, Ministries and Institutions. It also has information on trade and investment opportunities, travel and tourism and consular services which are offered by the Embassy.

Kenya and Italy enjoy warm, cordial relations. Italy opened its Embassy in Nairobi in 1964, while Kenya opened its first Mission in Rome in 1974. During the intervening period, tremendous achievements have been registered in wide spheres of collaboration, cooperation and partnerships. The areas include education, training, trade and investment, technical and development cooperation, among others.

The main focus of the Embassy is to consolidate, expand, sustain and deepen the existing friendly relations between Kenya, Italy and the countries of accreditation while exploring new opportunities for the benefit of the people and Government of Kenya. We endeavour to achieve our goals through focused engagement with the authorities and peoples of Italy and countries of accreditation, as well as Kenya Government Ministries, Agencies, Private Sector and the Diaspora.

With regards to the Kenyan Diaspora, we deliberately seek to improve delivery of Consular Services with a view to integrate them further in the national development agenda.

"Karibuni sana", I hope you will find the website useful and a suitable source of information and inquiries. Asante sana! Grazie mille!
