The Kenya Consulate General in Guangzhou has issued an update on the consular, commercial and trade-facilitation services available to Kenyans and to Chinese partners across the Consular District of Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi and Hainan.
The Consulate General, located at Unit 02A, 34th Floor, Office Building A, No. 109 Pazhou Avenue, Mingfeng Square, Haizhu District, Guangzhou, offers passport applications and renewals, emergency travel documents, notarial and consular services, attestation of documents, and visa facilitation for travellers to Kenya. Applicants are encouraged to schedule appointments in advance via consular.guangzhou@mfa.go.ke or +86 188 020 34500. The Mission also provides commercial diplomacy support — market entry guidance for Kenyan exporters into China's southern manufacturing belt, investor facilitation for Chinese firms looking at Kenya, and engagement with trade promotion bodies such as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangdong. The Consulate General was operationalised on 1 August 2025 to bring Kenyan government services closer to the region's diaspora business community and trading hubs, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Yiwu and Xiamen.
