Shaping Africa's Diplomatic Future: FSA and Diplomats Without Borders Advance Strategic Training Partnership
الأخبار

The Foreign Service Academy is deepening its international training partnerships, with the Chairperson of the Academy Council, Prof. Patrick Maluki, holding a liaison meeting with Ambassador Roeland Van De Geer of Diplomats Without Borders (DWB) to finalise a Memorandum of Understanding on the training of Kenya's foreign service personnel.

The two parties agreed to equip Kenyan diplomats through joint sessions with the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) in South Africa focused on Africa's economic future, and to pursue collaborative funding for FSA and DWB programmes in mediation and environmental diplomacy. The partnership also extends targeted training for junior diplomats to ensure continuity of quality service across the Foreign Service. The Academy committed to following up on the April 2025 training delivered for Kenyan ambassadors, identifying curriculum gaps and addressing them with updated modules aligned to emerging global diplomatic trends — from climate diplomacy and digital governance to mediation and conflict prevention.
