Kenya and Mozambique Deepen Bilateral Trade and Investment Ties
الأخبار

The Kenya High Commission in Maputo continues to champion stronger commercial ties between Kenya and Mozambique, building on the historic people-to-people links and shared Indian Ocean geography of the two countries.

The Mission has engaged the Confederation of Mozambican Economic Associations (CTA), the Agency for Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX) and chambers of commerce in Maputo and Beira to identify priority sectors for two-way trade — including agro-processing, financial services, ICT, horticulture, tea and coffee value chains, and transport and logistics linked to the Nacala and Beira corridors. Kenyan brands have a growing footprint in Mozambique across banking, insurance, aviation and consumer goods. The High Commission is working with Mozambican counterparts to address non-tariff barriers, streamline rules of origin under SADC, and operationalise opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
