Bienvenue à l'Ambassade du Kenya, Berne

Welcome to the official website of the Kenya Embassy in Bern. We sincerely hope that you will find the website and its linkages useful for getting news and information about Kenya, with particular attention to the Government, consular services, trade and investment opportunities, travel and tourism, as well as bilateral relations with the Confederation of Switzerland.

Kenya is geo-strategically located at the confluence of the Great Lakes, Horn of Africa and the Indian Ocean contiguity, making it a gateway to Africa’s major trading blocs, such as the East African Community (EAC) and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). It offers one of the best investment climates in the wider East African region with limitless Trade and Investment opportunities. In addition, Nairobi is a regional hub of economic and multilateral diplomacy. It hosts one of the four United Nations Offices and numerous international and inter-governmental organisations.

Kenya enjoys long standing historical ties with the Confederation of Switzerland which continue to grow from strength to strength and have been transformed into a multifaceted and mutually beneficial partnership.

These ties encompass interests in a variety of fields. My goal is to deepen these ties. We are committed to consolidate relations with our partners, particularly on our development priorities, which fall within the ambit of the Kenya Kwanza Plan whose core pillars are: Agriculture, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) economy, Housing and Settlement, Healthcare and Digital Superhighway and Creative Economy. I invite you to work with us in broadening engagement in these and other areas of interest in order to promote Kenya’s growth and prosperity. I also encourage you to visit this site often in order to access information, keep abreast relevant news and announcements upcoming events and offer suggestions for improvements.
